Planning & Construction Updates

May 2017

Completed the Schematic Design Phase work. Completed the procurement process for the General Contractor / Construction Manager (GCCM). An interim contract was approved to start the preconstruction phase of work. Schematic Design documents are being priced to evaluate the construction cost against the budget. Preparation for the SEPA checklist continues. The first community open house is scheduled for June 6at 6:30pm at the school.


March 2017

The Schematic Design Phase work was nearing completion. The procurement process for the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GCCM) was nearly done. Preparation for the SEPA checklist continued. The pre-submittal conference for the Master Use Permit was held.


February 2017

The Schematic Design Phase work continued. Site-Specific Educational Specifications were being refined

Work on the transportation studycontinued. The procurement process for the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GCCM) was underway. Preparation for the SEPA checklist began. The preliminary site plan for the classroom addition was well received at the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board Meeting.


January 2017

The schematic design phase work continues. The Site-Specific Education Specifications are being refined and the transportation study continues. Preparation for the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GCCM) procurement process was nearing completion.


December 2016

The School Design Advisory Team (SDAT) process has been completed. The schematic design phase work has begun. Site-Specific Educational Specifications are being developed. Work has begun on the transportation study. 


November 2016

The School Design Advisory Team (SDAT) process was nearly complete. The geotechnical report has been completed with the consultant comments incorporated. Work began on the transportation study. 


October 2016

The School Design Advisory Team (SDAT) process continued. School tours and the geotechnical report was completed.
