Meadowbrook Community Council Meeting Presentation - July 13th, 2010

On July 13th, 2010 Ian Kell, the Nathan Hale senior construction project manager, gave a presentation to the Meadowbrook Community Council. Ian gave a brief presentation with a slideshow on the progress of the construction and modernization of the school, followed by a presentation and question and answer session on the plans for a new school reader board.


Nathan Hale's New Student and Family Orientation Night - May 24th, 2010

On May 24th, 2010, Ian Kell, the Project Manager for the Nathan Hale modernization project, participated in the New Student and Family Night, answering questions and providing information on the Nathan Hale modernization project to students and families.

Community Celebration - The Opening of the New Library/Radio Station Building October 3rd, 2009

The completion of Project 1B (new library, radio station, visual art classrooms and fitness center) was celebrated on October 3rd with an open house for students, staff, alumni, and community members.  As part of the event, visitors were able to tour the new spaces and the entire school was open for self-guided tours of the old building, allowing one “last look” before it is remodeled as part of the next phase of construction.  The school’s radio station, KNHC C89.5, held a reunion for past students and employees, as they relocate to their new space and begin broadcasting in October.

Demolition of the Old Library Event, August 25th, 2009

On August 25th, 2009, Melissa Larson, winner of the Nathan Hale demolition auction event, and well wishers, gathered at Nathan Hale to witness the start of demolition of the old Library. Melissa pushed the 'Acme' plunger to signal the start. Cheers and clapping ensued as the crowd watched the building come down.

 


 

New Student and Family Orientation Night at Hale - June 15th, 2009

Ian Kell, the Project Manager for the Nathan Hale modernization project, will be available to answer questions and provide information on the  Nathan Hale modernization project to students and families as part of the New Student Family Night at Nathan Hale. Foundation Donors' 2009 Hard Hat Tour

On June 1st, 2009, over 70 members of the Nathan Hale High School Foundation gathered at Nathan Hale for an evening Raider Rebuild Hard Hat Tour. The tour consisted of a photo slideshow showing the construction progress of the new Library/Arts addition, followed by a guided hard hat tour of the construction site.

Earth Service Corps Symposium on Water

Ian Kell, the project Manager for the Nathan Hale modernization project, was invited to be the key note speaker at the December 11th, 2008, Earth Service Corps Symposium on Water where he presented a slide show on how the new project is incorporating sustainable water practices. Following Ian Kell's presentation, students presented their own research on other water related issues.

Students, families and staff of Nathan Hale were invited on December 9th, 2008 to participate in a fabulous evening of food, fun and entertainment. Ian Kell, the Project Manager for the Nathan Hale modernization project, presented information about the project and answered questions from the participants. Nathan Hale Groundbreaking Celebration

Students, teachers, parents, staff and the neighboring community came together on Tuesday, November 18th at 10:30am to celebrate the groundbreaking to modernize and expand Nathan Hale High School. Community members, parents, staff and students all broke ground in celebration of this momentous event.

Students, Principal Marni Campbell, staff, construction managers and Dignitaries all came together to break ground on the Nathan Hale modernization project - November 18, 2008.
