Interior Air Quality Remodel Project

Ingraham High School - New Linoleum Flooring

The Interior Air Quality Remodel project was completed in time for the start of school, September 9th, 2009. All existing vinyl asbestos floor tiles were removed and new linoleum flooring and carpeting were installed. All corridors were painted and classrooms received new furniture. Classrooms received new technology (audio/visual) equipment. New carpet was installed in the auditorium.

Interior Air Quality Remodel Project

Ingraham High School - Hallway Linoleum Installation

Last month, July, 2009, the contractor continued the removal of the existing vinyl asbestos floor tiles in the main building, the 200 building and the 300 building. In the main building, the new linoleum flooring installation was started in the hallways along with the carpet installation in the classrooms. In the main building and the 200 building the corridor ceilings and walls were painted and classroom technology (audio/visual) installation commenced.

This month, August, 2009, work will continue on the removal of the remaining vinyl asbestos floor tiles in the main building and the locker room offices. Linoleum flooring installation will continue in the main building, the locker room offices, the 200 building and the classrooms in the 300 building. The new furniture will arrive at the school and be moved into the classrooms. New classroom technology installation will also be completed. The indoor air quality remodel project is scheduled to be completed in time for the new school year at Ingraham High School.

Construction Update - June 2009

The interior remodeling of Ingraham High School is scheduled to begin June 22, 2009 and includes:

• Flooring replacement
• Interior painting
• Audio/video equipment upgrades, and
• Some new student furniture installation

This interior remodel project is not part of the Master Use Permit regarding the new addition, which is on hold until permitting issues are resolved. The interior remodel project will be completed before students return for school this September.

Our neighbors will probably not even notice the work inside the school, except for a few of the vehicles associated with the work. We do not expect any additional noise or dust for our neighbors.
